How To Brew Coffee Using Your Drip Coffee Maker

Many of us love a classic cup of drip coffee so we decided to share with you how we brew coffee using our coffee maker at home. You don't need the fanciest coffee brewers to achieve great results. On the other hand, following a couple simple steps might help get the most out of your coffee maker at home.

Equipment
- Coffee brewer
- Grinder
- Scale

If you’re looking to buy any of these three, remember that you don’t need anything expensive. You can keep it simple and still make a delicious cup of coffee. The one thing we’d recommend when looking for a grinder is to get one that has burs instead of blades. This will help result in an even grind, and that will help achieve a tastier cup of coffee.

Measurements

- 8-9g of coffee for every 1 cup of water
- Coffee:Water = 1:16 grams

 Brewing Step

For a full 8 cups of brew to start, we recommend 70g of coffee. Grind the coffee to a medium size to begin with and adjust later depending on taste. Lightly tap the basket to make sure the coffee bed is flat and evened out before placing it in. Fill up the water tank and begin your brew.

Adjustments

Perfecting a cup of coffee is incredibly simple. If it tasted watered down, add a little bit more coffee. If it’s tasting sour, make the grind size a little finer and if it’s coming out bitter, make the grind size coarser. Just remember, don’t change things too drastically with any variable you decide to alter. Small adjustments are all it takes to make a big difference.

Now it’s time to enjoy your delicious, freshly brewed cup of coffee.
